The Aztecs move into the Quarter Finals after their Round 2 win against Santa Barbara.

The Aztecs swept their last Sunset League match against Fountain Valley - bringing their record
to 9-1 league and 25-5 overall.

The Aztecs again swept their match against the Los Alamitos Griffins - [Anderson
29 assists; Kills: Beith 6, Dreim 7, Oxnard 4, Russie 9 and Smith 10]
4-30-10 Esperanza at Edison - [26-24; 25-16; 25-22]
The Aztecs swept the match against the Chargers and remain in sole possession of first
place in the Sunset League. [Anderson 34 assists; Hartig 12 kills, Dreim and Smith combined for 16 kills.]

The Aztecs took game 4 and the match to upend #1 Edison.

The Aztecs rallied from a late four-point deficit in the third (and final) game to complete the

3-30-10 Marina at Esperanza - [25-18; 25-16; 25-20]
The first league game of the season resulted in a win for the Aztecs. Hartig,
Russie and Smith combined for 23 kills.
3-26-10 Esperanza at Beckman - [25-10; 25-18; 25-21]
The Aztecs dominated the Patriots in a three-game sweep. Anderson 27 assists; Russie 12
kills; Hartig, Dreim and Beith combined for 27 kills. [OC Varsity]
3-25-10 Mission Viejo at Esperanza - [25-18; 25-22; 25-18]
The Aztecs swept the Diablos in three games. Hartig 12 kills; Dreim
10 kills, Beith and Smith 6 kills; Anderson 40 assists [OC Varsity].
3/19-20/10 Orange Country Championships
The Aztecs placed 3rd in their pool - placing them in the Silver Division.
They swept Los Alamitos in the first round of play-offs but were not able to pull off the win over Mater Dei in the second
round.
3-9-10 EHS @ Foothill - [25-20; 25-21; 19-25; 25-18]
Another win for the Aztecs. Anderson - 38 assists; Beith and Dreim - 10 kills each; Hartig - 12
kills; Sakurao - 12 digs (OC Varsity)
3-5/6-10 Redondo Beach Tournament - 1st Place
The Aztecs captured 1st place in the Redondo tournament again this year. Esperanza dominated in
all three pool play matches - against Peninsula, Lakewood and King/Drew Magnet. They went on to beat San Gabriel,
Servite and Palos Verdes in bracket play and advanced to first place after beating Huntington Beach in the finals.
Chris Dreim and Brett Anderson were named to the All Tournament Team and Chris Hartig was named
MVP. Congratulations Aztecs.
3-2-10 Huntington Beach at Esperanza - [8-25; 25-16; 25-18; 25-20]
After a first game loss to the Oilers, the Aztecs settled in and made an amazing comeback to win
the next three games and the match!
Anderson 31 assists; Hartig 18 kills; Beith 8 kills - 8 blocks [OC Varsity].
